Once and a while I get an IM or email from someone saying that they found another company copying one of our designs. Normally the similarities are small; this time, however, it's a little different.

I see this all the time. Make friends with a lawyer and send them a S&D. If you need one, I can give you a recommendation.
Be careful with those C&D, they may put you on the prayer list but not the one you really want on (think locusts and plague). Don’t go messin’ wit Jesus.
